Plantation at Parijat Academy

The tree plantation program was successfully completed at Parijat Academy located at Pamohi, Garchuk, Guwahati, Kamrup (Metro) Assam 781035. at Parijat Academy is a charitable organization that provides free education to the lesser privileged children of the society. The saplings selected for plantation were fruit bearing plants so that after maturity the fruits can be consumed by the students of the school. The trees planted comprise of mango, guava, jackfruit, lemon, and jamun. To educate the children and spread awareness, a short session on the importance of trees and plantation was also conducted during the event. Pencils and chocolates were also distributed among the students to appreciate their participation in the program.

We are highly grateful to Mr. Uttam Teron (Principal of Parijat Academy), students, and teachers of the school as well as the members of the NGO who participated in the plantation program enthusiastically and helped in making the programme a successful one. We also appreciate Mr. Uttam Teron’s constant hard work to provide free education to the lesser privileged children of the society. The Guwahati Social Forestry Division, Basistha, Guwahati, Assam supported the program by providing the saplings from the City Plantation Range under Guwahati Social Forestry division located at Pirpara (Gosaihat), Assam. We would also like to extend our gratitude towards Mr. Dulal Bharali, Mr. Bidyajyoti Das, and Mr. Partha Pratim Borah for their assistance and photography work during the event.
