ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AWARD:

Through the Environmental Research Award initiative, Native Green Foundation aims to recognise young minds engaged in environment-related research at the grassroot level and encourage more youth to contribute positively to the environment. The initiative aims to provide a platform for the young researchers to show their talent and creativity in the field of research and challenge themselves to solve real world environmental issues and create a better world.

Eligibility:

1. Research must have a direct or an indirect positive impact on the environment.
2. Participants must be still pursuing either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in any field.
3. Participants must be residing in India and studying in an Indian educational institute.

Submission process:

1. One applicant can submit only one research.
2. Each research work must be submitted as a unique entry. In cases where the research involves multiple researchers, only one individual may be listed as the applicant.
3. Fill the registration form with the required details. 
4. All participants must provide a no objection certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department/Principal/Deputy Registrar/Registrar of the university to acknowledge no conflict of interest and approval to submit the research (Check the NOC format below).
5. Accept the Declaration: Check the acknowledgement information.
6. Pay the registration fee of INR 100 (Rupee One Hundred Only).
7. Share the payment reference number and upload the screenshot in the submission form.
8. Participants are NOT allowed to appeal for any changes once the submission is complete.
9. Last date of registration is March 25, 2026.

Submission requirements

• Details of the participant along with contact information.
• Details of the education degree and university details along with an official email ID and phone number of a concerned authority.
• Research details: Title (50 words max), Stage of research, Abstract (300 words), Aim (150 words max), Background (500 words max), Results (if any), Expected outcomes (300 words max), and any published research article (if any).

Selection criteria:

Every submission will be judged based on the following criteria:

1. Impact on the environment.
2. Originality of research.
3. Ease of implementation in the real world
4. Stage of the research (example: idea stage, research under progress, product development, etc.).
5. Any prior research publication related to the research (if yes, credibility/impact factor of the journal).
6. Shortlisted researchers will be presenting their research online.
7. Details of the winner will be verified from the institution before final selection.
8. One researcher will be selected for the award.

Award:

1. Only one winner will be selected.
2. Cash prize worth INR 5,000 along with a trophy and a certificate will be awarded.
3. Apart from the winner, best research will be mentioned on our website and social media.
4. Winner will be announced in May 2026.
