Assam is facing one of the worst floods in decades. The flood has claimed the lives of humans and animals and has affected close to 500,000 people or more so far as per multiple sources. While the there is a large-scale loss of properties and infrastructures, the damage to people’s emotions is beyond imaginable. People have lost their family, friends, homes, clothes, and everything else. All those affected are now only surviving on flood relief initiatives. Therefore, we have started the “Guardians of the Black Waters” initiative to provide relief to those in distress.
Under the “Guardians of the Black Waters” initiative, we distributed kits to one hundred students. Each student was provided with a kit, containing three A4 ruled copies, one A4 unruled copy, one geometry box, one clear bag file cover, and one umbrella.
